Naturopathic medical appointments:
Dr. Farr is currently offering in-person appointments at the Bellingham location as well as telemedicine appointments via a secure video platform.

If you have requested a telemedicine appointment, you will receive an email with a link to the secure telemedicine platform prior to your appointment.
What to expect for your appointments:
I seek to offer compassionate and personalized healthcare for each of my patients. This includes an analysis of current symptoms, a review of medical history, a review of current medications and supplements, and an explanation of laboratory results. Detailed treatment plans often include recommendations for nutrition, herbal remedies, and supplementation. I work with several local compounding pharmacies and can write prescriptions for medication when appropriate. You may also receive recommendations for general laboratory testing or specialty laboratory testing to get a more thorough picture of your current health. I enjoy learning and I am always looking for ways to expand my education in order to better help my patients. I devote time each week to research and to education and I enjoy the opportunity to share my time, experience, and expertise with others.
Price structure for naturopathic medical appointments:
-Short follow-up appointment (30 minutes) – $160
-Standard follow-up appointment (45 minutes) – $240
-Comprehensive follow-up appointment (60 minutes) – $320
-Extended follow-up appointment (75 to 90 minutes) – $400 to $480
Additional services (outside of a scheduled appointment)*
-Lab order (outside of a scheduled appointment) – $45
-Prescription adjustment or prescription refill (outside of a scheduled appointment) – $45
-Medical forms or medical letters (outside of a scheduled appointment) – $45 *These tasks are “non-covered services” and cannot be submitted to insurance for reimbursement. However, if these tasks occur within a scheduled appointment (or on the same day as the appointment), the appointment will be billed at the standard hourly rate ($320/hour), and this can be submitted to insurance for potential reimbursement.
Payments:
Payments are due on the day of the appointment. Payments can be made with cash, check, FSA/HSA, or credit/debit card.
Insurance and superbills:
I do not bill insurance. If you would like a superbill to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, please let me know at the time of your appointment. This document includes procedure codes and diagnosis codes for your appointment. You can submit this document to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and will depend on the contract between you and your health insurance company.
Scheduling:
My online scheduling system automatically sets each follow-up appointment for one hour, but I bill based on the time that was used for the appointment. One of the goals for my business has been to allow for spacious healing and for the opportunity to address many aspects of health. Please let me know if you would prefer a specific time frame for your appointment, and I can adjust the appointment time accordingly.
Late cancellation and missed appointment fees:
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call my office to let me know: 360-389-2633. If you cancel your appointment with more than 48 hours notice – thank you! This gives me time to contact the next person on the waitlist. If you cancel your appointment with less than 48 hours notice: $100 late cancellation fee. If you miss your appointment, you may be charged the full fee for the appointment. If you need to switch from an in-person appointment to a telemedicine appointment due to travel, illness, or suspected illness: no charge. Please call my office to let me know and I can send you a link to the secure video platform.
Contact info for current patients:
In an effort to keep appointment costs as low as possible, I do not have administrative support or front desk staff at this time. The best way to contact me is to send a message through Charm Health Records, the secure patient portal.
Messaging:
I will continue to offer direct messaging to me at no extra charge. This can be a helpful way to clarify instructions from a recent appointment or to keep me updated on changes that you are noticing. If I need more information to answer your question, I will encourage you to set up a time for an appointment to go into more detail and find an appropriate plan of action. If a phone discussion involves medical advice or a new medical concern, you will be billed at the same rate as an appointment. For example, a 30-minute phone conversation will be $160.
Please understand that I receive many messages each day. Depending on the number of scheduled appointments, the volume of messages, and the complexity of messages, it may take me up to 72 hours to respond to your message. My goal is to add value to your healing experience through continuing education, ongoing research, and specialized care. As a result, there are many days when I am researching complex cases or attending medical conferences and I am not available for same-day care.
